What is WMU?

The purpose of WMU is to lead the church as a body to become involved in missions, both here at home and around the world.

Areas of Mission Focus:
  • Pray for missions
  • Engage in mission action and witnessing
  • Learn about missions
  • Support missions
  • Develop a missions lifestyle
  • Participate in the work of the local church and the SBC

Current Projects
  • Diaper ministry with the Carter County Health Department:  Diapers are packed with  Home Life magazine, Parent's Life magazine, and a church brochure.  These packets are given to new mothers who are being visited by Home Health nurses during the first year of the baby's life.
  • Hale's Ministries Laundry Project:  Quarters are donated to Hale's Ministries to be dispensed to residents of Lynnwood/Lynnridge Complex for laundry purposes.  Hale's Ministries staff and volunteers provide Bible study and witnessing.
